SUNDAY GATHERING
10am | 618 Wallace Avenue | Coeur d'Alene, ID
THE GATHERING
THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH began gathering to worship Jesus on Sundays to celebrate his resurrection from the dead. As part of that great tradition, we gather to pray, to sing, to sit under the preaching of the scriptures, and to receive the grace of God through the bread and cup of communion. Our gatherings are both casual and traditional. We take Jesus seriously and ourselves less so.
WE SING lyrically rich songs from the past and present, and we use drum sets and electric guitars to aid our worship.
WE STAND TOGETHER when scripture is read over us, and most of us wear jeans and sneakers.
WE USE a projector and a sound system, and we recite the Nicene Creed together each week.
When you take refuge in a church, do not seek shelter merely in the place but in the spirit of the place. For the church is not wall and roof but faith and life.
-John Chrysostom
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Every Sunday our children join their families in the first half of the worship gathering before being given the opportunity to participate in one of our age-appropriate classes. If you would prefer your children stay with you for the entire gathering, they are more than welcome to do so.
At Revelation Church it is our desire to create a safe and caring environment for children to grow in their wonder of God and his love for them.
Safety
-All teachers and helpers receive background checks, and all teachers are covenant members of Revelation Church.
-Ratios are carefully monitored.
-We follow safe practices and wellness policies to ensure that children are well cared for.
-A floater is on hand to help wherever’s needed and communicate with the oldest class via radios.
-Additional safety measures and practices are in place for our oldest class which meets across the street at Anthem CDA’s office.
The building remains locked while children are present, and teachers are provided radios to communicate with the main building should any needs arise.
Wonder
Our younger groups engage with God’s word through age-appropriate play like sensory bins, imaginative play, and creative expression through music or art. For our older kids, we have more collaborative discussions of what’s being taught, reenacting, collaborative games, and artistic expression.
We invite all ages to ask questions and discover the love of Jesus through the scriptures. Fueling the wonder of who God is is an integral part of how we help families disciple their children.
