Caesar Augustus is too busy ruling his own kingdom to realize that the true King is being born right under his nose. We look at distraction and apathy and how they blind us to the work of the Kingdom.

For the 2nd week of Advent we look at Mary's reaction to strange news from an angel and see what it looks like to approach God with open-handed faith.

Luke 1:5-25

The people of Israel were in a dark place at the beginning of the 1st century. There was very little hope and God was silent. We'll take a look at the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth for wisdom in dealing with doubt and waiting on the plan of God.
